I actually drew this comic last year but I just found it. I had drawn two more empty panels after these, but I can’t remember what was going to go in them, likely more bugs.

We just bought our family's first real Christmas tree yesterday, when you published this. A jolly meditation ye've produced: it belongs to that odd class of tom comics that also includes the pond animals being suspected of taking the treasure box and forest animal fun facts.

Very, very good. First time I have seen an academic citation in a comic.

So: how to define what these stories have in common. Tiny characters, with very specific traits. No clear conflict or resolution. A general sense of wonder – disjointed thoughts and open questions out of context. Bugs are a good allegory for human beings.
