Sunday Comics #30 (Tom)

Here’s a little comic book I made using the folded up single sheet of paper method. It’s supposed to be spooky. Here’s a link to a giant picture.

Note that the comic must be read a little weirdly due to its original form, so think of each 2 panel chunk as its own page.

  1. You know this is going to be a great story from the lettering of the title on the first frame. It's like a horror movie, why make the audience wander into the story to figure out what's going on, why not just tell them, \”It's about a river troll and a curse\”. I'm a fan of nice crisp drawings, so the pencil technique comes off as a bit mushy to me, but the campiness of the images fits the genre. I particularly like the second frame with it's conical row of trees, beyond a too-narrow river, past a too-stiff man with eyebrows that obscure his eyes, in a pose and shirt that could make him Waldo's brother.

  2. Well pleasing. It seems that the river troll is more dangerous than the river goblin. I like the homely dude- his face makes the story more interesting because you start to think about who he is- maybe a good hearted guy who is sort of homely and socially awkward, kind of bored… ah, me
